It depends on the placement of Ketu in the particular birth chart. There is a lot of negativity about Ketu periods, that they are always bad, detach from material life, poverty, job loss, divorce, separation etc. They only say Ketu is a planet of spiritualism and has nothing to do with material life, but this is not true. I accept that generally it is a spiritual planet, but Rahu also has spirituality in it & Ketu has materialism also.

Sages have clearly written that they give results according to their association with other planets. This leads to confusion about what they actually are! This statement gives multiplicity in their nature because now they can behave as per association. If they are associated with material planets then material, and if spiritual then spiritual results.

But, you should note that Rahu nakshatras fall in the signs of Mercury, Venus and Saturn respectively. Rahu is the head of demon, it is more malefic and material than Ketu. All these 3 planets are more material and powerful at night, Saturn of Aquarius is both material and Spiritual because Aqaurius sign is desire, and that can be for anything, also it is 12th from 12th sign, Pisces sign of Spirituality.

Rahu has qualities of all these 3 planets naturally. Note Venus is the main planet for spirituality because it is our lust also and it should be in sattvik influence for spirituality. So is Rahu.

On the other hand, Ketu nakshatras fall in the signs of Mars, Sun, and Jupiter respectively. Ketu is the body of a demon, it is mild malefic and more spiritual than Rahu. All these 3 planets are more spiritual and more powerful in day time.

Rahu is the head and has all the bad thoughts of a demon but Ketu is the body, so it has a demon body which will act according to other indications. Ketu is like crystal clear water, and changes its color frequently. Ketu is like a child, who will do whatever you want from him.

So accepting Ketu as destroyer is really a stupid thought. Ketu mahadasha can be good and bad. It highly depends on association but naturally it has some influence of the Jupiter, Sun, and Mars.

Ketu mahadasha is not always a nightmare, it can prove highly beneficial as Jupiter. It can be average also. Spreading negativity is not good.

Ketu is in 7th house with Venus (Darakaraka), he has got into good relationship with a Muslim girl with start of Ketu dasha. Won many awards for signing and is a good singer also. Also, completed his graduation successfully in the same Ketu period. Are these spiritual events only and detached or separated?

Case-2

This is the Amitabh Bachchan chart. He was in Ketu period 2007 to 2014. Did he not perform on the silver screen? He performed very well and did more films than the current Venus period. Also, worked as narrator. People will say Ketu has no head and makes bad speaker. Irony is that he emerged as a good narrator in the Ketu period. Yes, Ketu makes a good speaker if well placed. He did film Paa, which emerged as one of his fine performances.

Case-3

This native has got Ketu period from 1993 to 2000. He did his graduation in it, worked in foreign countries. Everything was good, but Ketu is in 8th house, and has to play this role as well. In Ketu-Mercury, his father died and he has to come back to India and look after his family, he has a huge amount of ancestors property. Ketu gave him all those being in 8th house of inheritance. This is the chart of King George IV. He got the throne in the Ketu-Rahu period. People say that this period is bad. Is getting a throne without much effort a bad thing? You should see the placement of Ketu in 11th house and in Rajyoga, Rahu is also in Rajyoga. Sign lords of both are so well disposed. 11th Ketu proved bad for his elder only, but he benefited from it.

Case-5

He got married in Rahu-Ketu dasha, that was love marriage. Ketu in 5th house and dispositior is well placed in 10th house, Venus. See how Ketu is fulfilling its material job. He is happy in marriage as well.

Case-6

He was struggling before Ketu dasha, Ketu mahadasha helped him to grow materially. He is musician. Ketu is in 11th house with 11th lord.
