How to known about spouse from navamsha chart?

Parashari astrology works very well if done comprehensively. Parashara ji has said, predict things by using Lagna, Moon and Sun chart and make conclusion of it. He has also given divisional charts, where Navamsha has importance after D-1, and D-60 chart. We extensively use D-1 because it is not so sensitive but D-60 is most sensitive chart, so people ignore it.

Coming to Navamsha and spouse characteristics. Navamsha is also a general chart and seen for marriage prospects as well. In D-1, lagna shows native and 7th house shows spouse in general. In D-9, lagna shows native’s status in marriage and 7th house shows spouse of the native.

I am leaving a technique here, 7th from any house is the strength of that house, Navamsha is strength of D-1 chart.

So, lagna of Navamsha shows the marriage status and native’s mood or status in marriage, and 7th house shows spouse specifically. We read, our characteristics from lagna chart, similarly we should also read characteristics of our spouse from the 7th house. Just make 7th house as lagna and read it throughly with yogas etc.

But, you can’t jump directly into Navamsha’s 7th house for characteristics of spouse. You have to do it comprehensively, see 7th house from lagna, from moon, from significator Venus (Male chart) and Jupiter (Female) and the make conclusion of it. You can also see your Darakaraka and read chart from darakaraka, it is a strong significator of spouse.

Apart from this, 2nd, 4th, 8th and 12th houses/lords are important of Navamsha chart. They should be well in chart. 2nd house is the gain of marriage in general and also family. 4th house is the prosperity and peace of marriage, 8th house is longevity of marriage, 12th is the bed pleasures.

5th and 10th houses/lords are important too, because child birth and social status of your marriage is a big deal.

Lets understand with few examples:

Example-1

This is the chart of India’s former prime minister Sh. Rajiv Gandhi. I am only discussing about his spouse characteristics from navamsha chart. We all know that his spouse Sonia Gandhi has great place in Indian politics after her mother in law. She is a foreigner and permanently settle abroad, India.

How can an astrologer see this?

See in D-9, 7th house has Saturn-Ketu, Ketu is foreigner. 10th house has Sun, which is 4th from the 7th house, means royal home. 10th lord from 7th house is exalted but in 12th house, she worked and settled in foreign. 4th lord is also in 8th house from 7th house, 8th is overseas. From 7th house, 9th lord is in 8th house, changer of religion as well. She became Sonia Gandhi after marriage.

So in this way you can easily see the characteristics of one’s spouse.

Example-2

It is a chart of an individual, married to a girl, who is only child of her parents. Therefore, he got share all property of her spouse. Basically, a good amount of wealth gained from marriage & spouse.

In D-1, all natural benefic planets are in 2nd house, resulting easy flow of money. Venus is 8th lord of spouse family’s money, joining the raj yoga. 7th lord also aspects 4th lord of property in 8th house, and 4th lord aspected by planets in 2nd house is great.

Her spouse is only child of her parents. 11th house from 7th house has Mars the lagna lord and 8th lord, Lagna in 11th lord restricts elder siblings, and similarly restricts younger ones if lagna lord is in 3rd house. 3rd lord/house from 7th house has Moon, but 3rd lord is in 8th house and aspected by Saturn, who is aspected by Mars making her spouse only child. But picture clears in Navamsha, here 3rd lord from 7th is debilitated and aspected by Sun. 11th house lord is in lagna again and 11th house receives the aspect of Saturn and Mars.

For property, 7th lord went into 2nd house of money, and aspected by 4th lord of property. 7th in 2nd means, spouse is going to wealth, 4th lord also aspected by 7th lord from 2nd house, but it is debilitated so some dispute is also there in property.
