Enigmatic 11th House in Astrology

11th house represents: Elder siblings, paternal uncle(father’s younger brother), daughter in law, awards, desires, earnings, seniors, environment of workplace, colleagues etc.

According to Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra, an auspicious 11th house makes a person happy at all times. 11th house indicates the fructification of our Karmas. A person is doomed to a lifetime of struggle and very limited gains if the 11th house is weak. The pivot around which success revolves in a horoscope is 11th lord and the 11th house. When we assess the horoscope of successful people, we find that all of them have a strong 11th House and 9th house (11th from 11th house).

But never forget that 11th lord is considered the most malefic in all 3,6,11.

Now, the question is, why 11th house is key house for success and 11th lord is most malefic?

11th house is the one of the Kama Trikona(3,7,11) house, and nothing to do with our well being.
It is considered malefic and wherever it sits, it damages the signification of that house in a very different way but also gives material gains from that house. You will never find that Lagna lord and 11th lord are friends.

11th lord is considered malefic because, 11th lord has to manage the desires and aspirations of person. And 11th lord will never think about our well being. Many of us have desires which may not be good for our health like smoking, drinking alcohol etc. We can also see that many people don’t give importance to their parents or family because of their work or relationship with others etc.

All these happens because of 11th lord, because he has to give material things in someway. That way can be good or bad.

Let’s understand with the help of a example:
If someone’s 11th lord is in 4th house, will give gains from property, real estate, transport or vehicles etc but longevity of mother or happiness will be in question. All this happens because 11th house or lord is related to material things.

But if any planet is in the 11th house will become favorable and give gains from house associated with it.

Example: 4th lord in 11th house, longevity of mother will be good, gains in happiness, multiple properties or vehicles(but will not earn from them, only having such desires), desires of having good house etc.

All this 11th house and lord is judged i.e. placement/conjunction/aspect of planets in 11th or with it’s lord, because if they are weak then not good for material gains and If they are extra strong then person can do anything to fulfill his/her desires.
